It's debatable

Strange how different things seem from one month ago. Now that Obama is in the lead the rhetoric has devolved into a much more negative tone. The one thing I've been thinking about over this past week is my rationalization for voting for the more inexperienced candidate. Much has been said about his lack of time in office, and his meaningless rejection of the Iraq war (he wasn't in office, so the choice of whether to vote on it initially is moot). While I see the logic, but not necessarily the relevance, of both points, the argument I find most ridiculous is the, "his only quality is inclusivity," notion as a negative.

The one thing that the next president must do in order to get any policy passed (and this is where the Carter comparison also fails) is to have great cross isle support. I believe that only Obama has that right now. Certainly Clinton does not, and McCain is still planning a WWII style war in Iraq against non-state actors - so his credibility is null and void among democrats and even some republicans.

Alas....
