In which we learn that vampires are really just needy narcissists with eating problems and tendencies towards antisocial behavior.....

I wonder if anyone has told her that vampires are not real? Even as a fan of Elizabeth Kostova's wonderful book, Buffy, Angel, Blade and Underworld I do not believe that vampirism exists in any other form than that of the copy-cat-goth, and Billy Bob and Angelina variety. And Dracula - son of the dragon litterally - was just a particularly nasty sadist but not even the cruellest member of his own family. Although his distant relative is now an NPR commentator Andrei Codrescu - which could make for an interesting story.... if Codrescu hadn't already written it.
